Venue and travel
Lantana Galu Beach Resort
The Lantana Galu Beach Resort is on Galu Beach, about 10 minutes south of Diani, on Kenya's south coast. The resort has Swahili-style architecture, gardens that run down to the beach and two swimming pools. It offers apartments, villas and penthouses.
Start with your room, your flights and your entry requirements. These take the longest.
Accommodation
Book by 15 January 2027, with a 50% deposit. After this date, the rooms held for the wedding are no longer guaranteed. The balance can be paid in instalments.
Bookings are handled by Sands & Serenades, at rates negotiated for the wedding.
Rates by room type and the discount code will be shared soon.
Flights
The nearest airport is Ukunda (UKA), a small airport served by domestic flights, usually with a connection in Nairobi. It is a few minutes by taxi from most Diani hotels. Mombasa (MBA) is the main international airport in the region. Allow about 1 to 2 hours by road between Mombasa and Diani, depending on the route.
A group flight is being looked into. Tell us your departure airport and dates in the RSVP.
Transfers
Sands & Serenades arranges transfers between the airport and your accommodation. Let us know what you need in the RSVP.
Entry requirements
From France, with a French passport
eTA required. Apply only on the official website, at least two weeks before departure.
Health. An international vaccination centre can advise you on vaccines and malaria prevention.
From Cameroon, with a Cameroonian passport
No eTA for a stay of up to 60 days.
Yellow fever. Valid vaccination certificate to show on arrival.
Health. Ask for advice on malaria prevention.
Another passport or route: the eTA depends on your passport, the yellow fever certificate on the country you are arriving from. Check your situation before booking.
Return date
Kenya's presidential election takes place on 10 August 2027. We recommend leaving Kenya before that date.
Weather
July is part of the cooler season on the Kenyan coast. Expect 26 to 28 °C during the day, about 21 °C at night, and a warm sea. Short showers are possible and the sun is strong. Bring a light jacket and sunscreen.
Travel questions
Sands & Serenades, a private travel concierge, answers guests' travel questions. The agency also arranges extra nights on the coast, safaris, villa rentals and flights.
Extending your trip? Safaris and excursions are on the Around the wedding page.
